Custom T-Shirt Screen Printing—-the way to display your perspectives without the opening of your mouth
December 24th, 2009 by admin

What do you imagine when you hear someone mention the craft and art of screen printers and screen printing designs? If you are like most people, your mental picture is that of a T-shirt ( custom shirts ) with pun of some sort, a design, or cartoon rendering. You will probably be surprised to know that screen-printing has been around for thousands of years and has an important place in the history of art and clothing.

Many would recognize the name Andy Warhol because of his use of, and expansion of, the screen-printing medium. Contribute to his utilization of extreme colors , modernistic subjects and perspectives, and imagination,he is very impressed. Correctly, he should be considered one of the pioneers of modern-day screen-printing styles.

Very few individuals know anything at all about the history of screen-printing ( custom men’s shirts ). Actually, the procedure we in Western cultures call screen-printing can find out its roots back to two diverse sources. For one thing ,early techniques of formwork making were part of the improving procedure. For the other thing, the combined techniques relating the use of ink and fabrics also devoted to the screen-printing procedure.

As early as 10,000 BC, stenciling techniques were in use. Then, Middle Age artisans stretched cloth on a frame and used tar to produce a reverse stencil. When the tar became dry upon the cloth, paint was applied by the parts of cloth free of tar to generate decorative banners and uniforms for the Crusaders.

Wooden frames with mesh material added originated with the Japanese, and the Western world started to make use of these during the nineteenth century. The result of using this refined fabric were that more and more complex designs could be reproduced. Then, the patents issued during the first decades of the twentieth century saw the combining of the centuries old stenciling techniques and the use of various fabric materials and dyes and inks.

However, the most relevant development to our modern screen-printing art was one that did not reside with the artist. The vast changes in culture and society that began after World War Two had as much to do with modern screen-printing designs ( Tailored shirts ) and uses as all the artistic history mentioned earlier. The 1950s and 1960s saw the emergence of the individual and the ideas of complete freedom of expression for any and everyone. This counterculture revolution merged with the art of screen-printing and exploded into our modern screen-printing industry.

In this way,the predominance of screen-printed T-shirts, designer clothes, and all manner of apparel is our fashion way of personal expression. This can be affirmd by a common shopping trip to any local clothing store. Through just purchasing and wearing a shirt of your own choice, anybody can display their opinions easily.
