Refrigerator magnets are outstanding advertising products. A colorful magnet with your hospital or clinic information printed on it will attract the attention of all who see it. The idea of advertising is to get as many repeated exposures to the business information as possible. Have you noticed that radio and TV ads play over and over? That’s because ad-men know that it takes more than one viewing to make someone feel comfortable with the advertiser.

Over and Over

The magnet does much the same thing, but on a vastly lower budget. Radio and TV ad campaigns are typically thousands of dollars a month. Quality magnetic promotional products can be purchased for a couple hundred dollars, and reach hundreds of people. Since the magnet is generally parked on a fridge door for months or years, everyone in the home sees it daily. If the product happens to be placed at the office, all the employees see it every workday. Multiply that by the number of magnets out there, and you have a rather impressive advertising campaign.

Targeted Audience

Radio and TV ads are not selective. Radio and TV ads are intrusive, too. When listening or watching, you can’t ignore them regardless of how irritating they may be. Magnets are passive advertisements. They are always there, but they aren’t the ‘in your face’ ads. When someone wants information about your health care facility, they know where to get it. The repeated, but unobtrusive exposures to the information on the promotional product slowly embeds itself into the mind of the people. It is such a delight to have an advertisement that doesn’t practically shout at you, like that Billy Mays guy on late night TV who sells laundry detergent.

Inexpensive

As I mentioned already, they are priced very reasonably. There are different shapes available, and many that would coincide with your particular field of medicine. Some have calendars on them, some display sports schedules. Other styles look like a business card, but are handy magnets. You distribute them at business fairs, in your waiting room, or leave a stack at non-competing businesses. Some products can even be mass-mailed to entire neighborhoods. Find a good supplier and have them show all the options available.
